We learned a long time ago that you can't sit back and do nothing, but what can you do? How can you get your family back? How can you get your loved one back? We asked ourselves these same questions over six years ago when our son, Chris, developed a serious drug and alcohol problem. We enrolled him in four treatment facilities, all typical 28-day, 12-step programs and each time we hoped and wished that it would work. Unfortunately, after each program he was back on the streets using within three to four weeks.

Our son's addiction was devastating to our family and our lives and it consumed us for years. After the fourth-failed attempt, we rolled up our sleeves and researched alternatives to the typical 28-day, 12-step program. We worked hard to figure out what makes a program successful and what simply does not work. We explored what people think about and what is important to them when they go into rehab. Our program and facility is a product of that research. We created a program that works and because of its profound effect on our lives and our son's life, we decided to devote our home and our lives to providing families with the same hope and joy we were able to experience.

Our center is different from other treatment facilities because:

  • We use a true one-on-one approach. We have approximately 1.4 staff for every student, which means your loved one will be working with a member of staff on his/her program from the minute they arrive until the minute they leave.
  • The reason we are a true one-on-one center is we know this approach works. Your loved one will be provided with one-on-one support during the entire program to make sure his/her needs are met.
  • We are a small home-style facility, in a 10,500 square foot beach house on Destin Beach, Florida. The center is neat, clean and comfortable.
  • The facility is conducive to one wanting to be here and doing the real work it takes to overcome addiction.
